Description In accordance with the National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994, Title V, Section 553 and 554, Public Law 103-325, funds are to be used for cost-effective measures that reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of flood damage to buildings, manufactured homes, and other insurable structures. This authorization provides cost-share cooperative agreements for three purposes: planning, projects, and technical assistance. The state, counties, and communities that participate in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and are in compliance with the NFIP floodplain management regulations may apply.
Grantee Eligibility Must be local governments with approved and adopted hazard mitigation plans.
