| Description |
NCSD serves deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf/blind children, about one-third of whom are multidisabled, ages 5 to 21 in grades K through 12 and their families from the 47 western counties of NC. The school provides day and residential students access to the NC Standard Course of Study, independent living skills, and other accomodations and therapies as outlined in each child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). |
