| Description |
The Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Program provides technical assistance; consultation; occupational and environmental surveillance and health risk assessments; biological, chemical, and physical hazard evaluation; and public health preparedness and response expertise on chemical, radiological, biological, environmental events to local health departments, hospitals, animal control agencies, physician's offices, clinics, industry, schools, and the general public. Portions of the program are federally and/or state mandated. Services are identified as: Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance; Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Hazard Management; Occupational and Injury Surveillance Service; Medical Evaluation and Risk Assessment; Chemical/Radiological Terrorism and Emergencies Service; Industrial Hygiene Consultation Service; Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance. |
