Each senior center receives an equal 'share' or amount of funding. Uncertified centers receive one share; Centers of Merit, two shares; and Centers of Excellence, three shares. Senior centers receive the funding through Area Agencies on Aging. A total of 164 senior centers are receiving funding. All awards require a 25% local match.
