Description Grants to artists ranging from $500 to $10,000 to support their creative development. Artist residencies are one to two months at the Headlands Center for the Arts in California or the Vermont Studio Center. Regional artist project grants are administered through local arts councils.
Grantee Eligibility General eligibility requirements, include the requirements that individuals: *are at least 18 years old; *are a U.S. citizen or holder of permanent resident alien status; *have been a year-round resident of North Carolina for at least one year immediately prior to the application deadline; *will remain a North Carolina resident during the grant period and be physically present in the state for the majority of the grant period; *were not enrolled at the time of application and will not be enrolled during the grant period in an academic or degree-granting program. Internships: Applicants must have at least a four-year college degree and demonstrate a strong interest in a career in community arts administration. North Carolina applicants are given priority consideration, but qualified individuals living outside the state are also encouraged to apply.
