| Description |
To focus attention and resources on innovative programs and initiatives that succeed in keeping students in school when other conflicting factors are pushing them to drop out before they are prepared to further their postsecondary education or enter the workforce per Session Law 2007-323, HB 1473, Section 7.32(b). |
| Grantee Eligibility |
LEAs; state, county and local governments; and non-profit agencies can apply for the Dropout Prevention Grant. Eligibility is determined by the Dropout Prevention Grant Committee, and it decides which applicant is approved and how much the recipient is awarded. The maximum amount a recipient can be awarded is $175,000. |
