| Description |
Folklife grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations, folklorists, and traditional artists engaged in projects that preserve and perpetuate folklife traditions or educate the public about North Carolina's folk cultural heritage. |
| Grantee Eligibility |
Documentary grants provide funds to folklorists, working independently or employed by a non-profit organization, and to traditional artists for projects that document the state's cultural traditions and the work of artists who are part of those traditions.
Public Program grants provide support to non-profit organizations for public presentations and programs featuring the state's folklife traditions.
Salary Assistance grants are provided on a limited basis to organizations that create a staff position for a professional folklorist. |
