| Description |
The Food Distribution Division of the N.C. Department of Agriculture administers the following food programs for USDA: schools (public and private), residential child care, charitable institutions, soup kitchens, food banks, emergency feeding organizations, Food Distribution Program on the Indian Reservation, Commodity Supplemental Food Program , Area Agency on Aging, summer feeding, summer camps, and disaster relief. |
| Grantee Eligibility |
Non-governmental agencies may qualify by meeting the following conditions: must be a non-profit agency; and must have a letter of tax exempt status from the IRS. Governmental agencies shoud contact the Food Distribution Division to inquire about applying. |
